We believe in giving back to the community where we live. We partner with the local nonprofit, Alexander's Hope by donating a portion of every closing to Alexander's Hope.
Alexander's Hope is a nonprofit very close to the heart's of the Chaffey family. It was founded by Bella after her brother, Bob's son, Alexander, had a heart transplant at the age of 19 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Alexander's Hope spreads awareness of organ donation and alleviates misconceptions related to organ donation. This is done in a number of ways, specifically, through advocating for updating Washington State’s driver’s education curriculum in order to better include organ donation, with hopes to increase first time driver’s license recipients’ opt-in organ donation rates.
Alexander’s Hope also works alongside The Nick of Time Foundation as a program sponsor to provide lifesaving cardiac tests (Electrocardiograms, and in some cases, Echocardiograms) to high school students while teaching them CPR and how to operate an AED.
